Purebred queens are young queens reared in the current year with controlled mating. We have a known both line of the Apis mellifera carnica subspecies on the maternal side, as well as the paternal line, which was selected by the Agricultural Institute of Slovenia.

The queens are bred at the breeding station in Lučka Bela. The isolated and uninhabited glacial valley, reaching deep into the heart of the Savinja Alps, hiding many attractions, lies at an altitude of 1100m.

Lučka Bela is a side valley of the Podvolovljek area and rund deep into the Kamnik Savinja Alps. It runs in a south-north direction and is approximately 6 kilometers long. It is surrounded by mountains, Velika Planina in the west, and the mountain range towards Korošica and Ojstrica in the east. Its location makes it ideal for controlled mating.

Purebred MS Carnica Queens are available from mid-June to the end of August.

Due to boutique breeding the quantity is extremely limited!
